Pilot wind turbine project

Suomen Hyötytuuli Oy has pioneered offshore wind power development in heavy ice conditions by building a pilot wind turbine to the Pori Tahkoluoto sea area. Steel-shell foundation technology developed by Eranti Engineering Oy and Technip Offshore Finland has been applied. Installation was made in summer 2010.

Pilot steel-shell foundation being manufactured at the Technip Offshore Finland Mäntyluoto yard.		The steel structure being lifted to sea bottom from Technip Offshore Finland barge Harry.		The pilot wind turbine after Technip Offshore Finland had completed offshore installation works. Siemens supplied the 2.3 MW turbine.
